Running fo the Hills
I always get a chuckle out of the way I called myself marketing, I always think back when I was new and didn’t have a clue of where to start. My sponsor told me to make a list of everyone I knew
because we were going to call them on a 3 way. These poor unsuspecting people had no idea that my sponsor was ready to pounce on them like a wild Lion on a Wilderbeast in the African Serengeti desert.
That tactic never worked for me, I’m not blaming my sponsor mind you, he was a pretty damn good salesman, he just had no clue what the other person on the other end of the phone really wanted or needed.
While you’re making those dreaded phone calls to the people you love and shall we say, used to socialize with, how many of them avoid you now like you have the swine flu?
I really get a good laugh when I think about when I learned the 3 foot rule, for those of you who aren’t familiar with this lunacy, it goes a little something like this. Wherever you are, wherever you go, whenever you
bump into someone you know or just start having a conversation with, ANYONE…throw your voice Paul, I swear thats what I was told, talk a little louder than usual so that the person you’re actually speaking with gets a little
deafened, but the people standing near or walking by hear snip-its of your vital, everyone should know this information. How rude is that for a marketing strategy, or to the poor woman you’ve just offended?
This is the kind of garbage that some sponsors are still pushing in this day and age, its amazing. If you’re serious about changing your life with your network marketing business you’re going to have to do some different things, those old stale tactics just don’t work
You’re going to have to identify your target market
know where to find the right people
Learn how to know when a prospect is right for your business
Learn that you can spend thousands of dollars on advertising to the wrong people and go broke
Figure out what people need and want.
